Mini Suspension Ring
An Ultra Light 26grams
Super Strong (Rated to 30Kn)
Anodised 7075 Solid Aluminum
Purpose built for use within the professional rigging industry this suspension ring is designed to be a formidable 'anchor point'.
Rated to 30kN
(That's a jaw dropping 3,000KG or 6,750lb)*
Machine turned from solid 7075 aluminum these rings have been fully heat treated to T6 condition and are certified mobile anchor points to EN795(b) standard.
Whilst the outer diameter is only 40mm we've easily fitted 5 carabina's to our mini suspension ring, and have found there to be ample space to allow 6 lengths of rope to be comfortably fed through any third of the ring. The images above feature our 6mm Asanawa jute rope range.
The ring itself has a diameter of 12mm (0.46"), which is a perfect thickness for use with most ropes favoured by kinbaku enthusiasts.
The green anodised finish offers the ring an enhanced life expectancy and prevents corrosion.
*Important: kN is actually a measurement of force, not a measurement of weight. A 'Kilo Newton' is 1,000 newtons of force, and 1kg exhorts up to 9.8kg of force in free fall. To put this into context, if you are rigging with a blissfully light bunny of 40kg, should she manage to fall, your suspension point could be shocked with up to 392kg of force or 3.92kN.
This is why rigging equipment that specifies even a relatively high loading should be avoided. A 10mm steel ring that is capable of holding a static 350kg (770lb) only requires 38kg (85lb) of weight to create a force that would exceed such a rings load bearing capacity.
